SoldNotice

Notes

How a domain purchase actually closes

Agree, then fund

Once a number is accepted, open escrow. Escrow.com is the usual choice. Any escrow both sides already use is fine. The seller does not take a wire to a personal account and does not push the name first.

Push only after funds are in

The buyer funds escrow. The seller unlocks the name and either pushes it between registrar accounts or starts a transfer with an auth code. There is no special lock on soldnotice.com. It is a normal .com.

Release on acceptance

The buyer confirms the name landed in their account. Escrow releases payment. Most closes of this size finish in a few business days, not a few weeks, unless a registrar’s transfer lock is still counting down. Ask about that lock before you promise a launch date.

Nothing on soldnotice.com is a checkout. The form only opens an email.
