Why PropTech pays for a plain .com

PropTech products die in the explanation. If the homepage has to teach the visitor what the company does, the name already lost. soldnotice.com does not need that sentence. Agents already say “sold.” Clerks already publish a notice of sale. The .com is the phrase.

That is the whole premium. Not traffic. Not backlinks. Not a logo. A string a buyer can forward to a partner without a footnote.

A coined brand can still win once the product has distribution. Before that, the exact-match .com is the cheaper way to sound like you belong in the category. The undeveloped range on this name, $3,000–$12,000, is priced on that fact and nothing else.
